This made me smile

There is a great photo essay on the CBC showing international marriage customs.

It was a happy way to start the day.

Enjoy.

Do you have any wedding customs to share? Did someone you know do something new to you at a wedding?

Hi Fiona
How was your trip to Sweden?

It was great, Rhondi. I'll try to have my travel photo-journal up in a day or two.

This was neat to see! It's interesting to learn about marriage customs in other countries. My husband is hispanic - and I'm lebanese & irish. At our wedding - we incorporate a few of the customs of our heritages. One tradition from Mexico is the marriage rope placed around the 2 of us to symbolize that we are now one.

Hi Fiona, When we are at the beach in NC in May, there are always weddings right there on the beach. I talked to the minister--who said that he has a great life there because there are so many beach weddings so he makes plenty of money... Great job if you can get it I guess!!!!

Glad you had a wonderful trip
Hugs,
Betsy

Shelly, that is a great visual And physical reminder of the joining of marriage.

Betsy, I love to see beach weddings, too. Maybe for our milestone anniversary, we'll renew our vows someplace like that.
